Kevin began construction in his youth working for his father. His critical experience began after graduating Cal Poly SLO in ’09, working for larger GCs in Southern California. He gained varied experience working as a project scheduler, project engineer, superintendent, precon & estimating manager, and project manager.
Kevin has a deep focus on the mechanics and realities of constructing projects, spending 7 of those years working as a superintendent. As a superintendent he has managed over $500 million in construction and nearly $100M as project manager. Projects ranged from large commercial and healthcare new-builds to smaller, critical environment healthcare settings. This experience allows him to see the broad-spectrum picture of large project complications as well as the not-so-obvious finer details important to owners.
He is adept at all major project planning techniques and tools used throughout the industry, including traditional P6 and Lean Scheduling methodologies. His experience includes varied delivery and contract methods and the associated dynamics of each — traditional hard-bid, design-build, shared profit Integrated Project Delivery, GMP, and GMP cost-reimbursable, among others.
Most importantly, his experience has given him the ability to work with and lead diverse groups of people with varying interests and motivations toward a common goal, from project inception to completion.
