Shaffer Building Co. provided preconstruction and logistics services for the $15M Calistoga Resiliency Center, a utility-scale energy storage facility developed by Energy Vault and designed by Core States Energy. Shaffer’s scope covered constructability review, estimating, project scheduling, and logistics coordination for a complex site that required heavy crane operations, oversized equipment deliveries, and extensive underground electrical infrastructure in Napa Valley’s hilly terrain. The project represents a significant departure from the firm’s healthcare portfolio, demonstrating capability across critical infrastructure sectors.

The construction photos capture the scale of the installation, with large battery enclosures and storage vessels being set by crane onto prepared foundations while crews routed the dense conduit and cabling networks that connect the system’s components.
